Your question will have to wait until tomorrow. HUGE migraine and seeing in spots. Back to bed for me - not sure how to get rid of this!

I'm sorry. I know how bad those are to deal with. I always shut myself in a dark room with an ice pack on my head and some excedrin migrain in my system. Hope you feel better soon. :)

feel better - I thought of you this weekend when I was at the Caps game. I was thinking about how cool it was that the kids have a cardboard standup of their dad as I was watching him on the ice. :)

Suffered through years of paralyzing migraines which no docs/medicines could touch. Finally found a solution about 8 years ago...magnesium. Specifically a product called Natural Calm found at Whole Foods and some health food stores. (I have no association with either company.)
Discovered this when doing research on autism (our son is high functioning autistic). Tried taking it myself first before giving it to him. No side effects except better sleep if you take it at night.
Not a single migraine since January 2002. Unintended consequence of the best kind. Rarely miss my daily dose.
Never know...might help. Hope you are feeling better.

My doc prescribed me Maxalt. Once i start seeing spots, i take one, and then i lay down for a bit, and usually it blocks the migraine. If i miss the window, then i'm screwed and have a headache all day. It may also help to try and identify triggers. I cant get near cologne or perfume, the scents totally trigger the headaches.
