GREAT JOB LAST NIGHT TO THE HABS!!! I was particularly proud of Sopes - right back into his playoff mode!
Communication with him SUCKS right now - the hotel has terrible cell service. This means that I'm not fielding his 20 calls a day, but inconvenient when I need to get ahold of him.
Today is Paul's 21st birthday!! We celebrated this morning before work and school to make sure we were able to fit it in. Jake has a lacrosse tournament this weekend and the boys are leaving tonight. Obviously, not the typical 21st birthday, but he volunteered to coach. So far it's working out great.
The girls and I are having a special weekend together. Manicures, pedicures, kids museums - so many things! I'm assuming that there won't be too much working this weekend. Although, Sunday mornings are now reserved for coupon clipping. This has become Lyla's new obsession! She's got her own box, and even keeps it under her bed. Maybe they're getting the idea of saving after all? She's asked for a Sunday paper subscription for her birthday - if they could all be that easy my life would be perfect!
Hopefully, we'll be opening the store in a week or two at the latest. It's been a labor of love to say the least. I'm not exactly the best at balancing my time, but we're all figuring it out together. We'll be having our "Grand Opening" when Sopes returns. I wouldn't want to do it without him!
Can Lyla come help me with my coupons? I need some help :)

I SO admire your raising the kids and doing so much with your hubby gone so much of the time. Especially grateful, because Sopes is working his hardest for our team and we Habs fans are huge beneficiaries of your sacrifice.
Good luck with store opening stuff - I'm sure it'll be top notch!!!

This is too funny! Have you seen the previews for that "Extreme Couponing" show?? It looks pretty intense & I may get addicted ;)

Hi Kelly,
Last month I got the amazing opportunity to sit behind the Habs bench during their game in Carolina and, among the many great things I got to experience, getting to see Sopes in action was such a joy; he's such a hard worker, and such a huge supporter of his team both on and off the ice. What an asset to Montreal! I wish I could have let him know somehow while at the game, but I'm hoping you could pass on the message :)
However, Sopes is not the only one I'd like to express some admiration for; between reading this blog and watching the short interview you did with CTV Montreal, I have such a respect for the way in which you and Sopes have decided to raise your kids. As mentioned in your interview, you could have chosen to lead your life very differently, but I appreciate that the 'hands-on-mom' approach is the path you've taken! Also nice to hear what a romantic Sopes can be :)
I wish you & Sopes all the best in everything!
