So here we go again! Another playoff race - thank god! Sopes came home yesterday for the last time until the season ends. Hopefully, he won't see the city of Chicago until June. It's so funny to see such a change in his demeanor just before playoffs, for him it's impossible to shut it off.
We had an amazing day just doing "family stuff". I got to throw a nap into the mix along with a family meal, so the day couldn't have gotten better. Sopes brought all of his dirty laundry home for me to wash; he's so kind... I did enjoy playing the wife again. Cooking for him was great for me, even if it sucked it was still a home cooked meal!
Right now I'm just trying to hold my head above water. The kids all have lacrosse, the store is about to open and we're busy on many other projects. When my head hits the pillow, the thinking begins. It's only gonna get worse as the playoffs go one. Maybe I'll have to start loving so Benadryl for a restful nights sleep.
Suggestions on a restful sleep are welcomed!!
Although I was sad to see Sopes leave Atlanta, I am happy he is making a playoff run with his new team. We wish him luck!

Congrats to Sopes for another playoff run! Go Habs Go!
As for a restful sleep, try "Mother's Little Helper" tea from David's Tea (they have locations in Montreal, I don't know about Chicago...) which is an all natural herbal tea with an herb they call "Nature's Valium"--great for unwinding after a busy day!!

Playoffs. Must win 4/7.
You lose one, don't dwell on it.
You go over what worked, what didn't.
You put your game face on and
gear up for the next game.
Every moment is do or die.
Block that shot, dive to keep it in the o-zone.
Push yourself, push your teammates.
Even if you're down 3 games to 0,
IT'S NOT OVER. KEEP FIGHTING.
We proved them wrong last year.
They had us out in 4 against the Caps.
They had us out in 4 against the Pens.
We beat our season record last year.
We won more games against playoff teams
this year than Boston did this year.
Play our game, not theirs.
Above all else, have fun.
Everyone knows you play better if you
are enjoying your time out there.
However, stay focused.
TELL BRENT.

Turn on a show or movie that you've seen so many times that you wont have to pay attention to it. For me, it's something to set my attention on instead of drowning in my thoughts. Good luck!

Try to do exactly the same routine before bed every night (preferably around the same time every night, but real life tends to mess that up a lot). It will train your body to know "Hey, I've just set the coffee, washed my face, brushed my teeth, & put out the cat (or whatever you do before bed), I'm going to be in bed soon!"
Lay in bed, close your eyes, and force yourself to think of something that is mentally soothing. It doesn't have to be a place - it can be a person, an object, anything that is peaceful to you. I tend to think of a piece of white knitting. Focus on that peaceful image and smile a little. You would be surprised at how much that can relax you!

Your beloved Sopes made the difference in tonight's epic match-up between the Habs and Bruins!
And I'm sure you already realize this, but Carey Price's wink at Sopes after that crucial block he made is just all over Hockey World tonight. ;-)
Loving Brent Sopel as a Hab! Take care of yourself. I think you can breathe a sigh of relief tonight.
