Alright, so it's been crazy around here with Jayla. She's just turned 7, and you'd think she's 2! The problem is she's so damn cute and the baby of the family, that we all let things slide.
Here's just this weeks list:
*I found her downstairs with my credit card and a pair of scissors. Of course, my reaction is to ask her "What the hell are you doing?" Well, she thought that if she cut the card, money would fall out. I guess that explains the large bowl next to her.
*I run up into my room to get dressed to find Jake's jock and cup right in the middle of my bed. She was waiting in the closet for my reaction. Things were fine and dandy for her when she heard Jake getting yelled at for it.
*Doing homework with Jayla is a nightmare! Jolita and Paul will often help, which gives me a much needed break. She refuses to read, even goes for reading help at school. I found her on the stairs quietly reading a CHAPTER BOOK to herself, and making no mistakes!!
*On Saturday, I bought glitter glue for the girls to make masks. I found her trying to use the glue directly on the dog to make the dog a mask. The poor dog still has glitter on her that we've yet to get off. Really scary attack dog now-
When Sopes calls, she never wants to chat with him. Jayla's not ever really happy when he comes home either. Things are perfect for her, and she doesn't like Daddy's discipline.
Obviously, we laugh about all of these things, but not in front of her. She's her own person who likes to be called "Birdie." Sopes calls her "Crazy."
Instead of Terrible Twos, she's in the Sangria Seven stage...Mommy's gonna need a lot of Sangria to get through this year!!!

Interesting she's not happy when Daddy comes home. I guess Daddy does not let things slide! I have a 9 year old son, and a 6 year old daughter. She definitely "has her way with Daddy" in comparison to my son. Terrible I know! Old school expectations - and behaviour on my part.
